The purpose of this ministry is to impart to new believers the fundamentals of the Christian faith and to set the groundwork for Christian discipleship. New believers are encouraged to complete a course of nine lessons. They are also introduced to the Articles of Faith of the Open Bible Standard Churches. Home assignments are also given to reinforce what is taught in the classes.
This class also prepares new believers for water baptism. Baptismal services are held approximately every three months. Full instructions are given so that new believers can enter this experience with confidence and joy. New believers are encouraged to become active members of the local assembly where their gifts and abilities can be developed and channelled into the appropriate direction and they can grow up to become mature believers, established and grounded in the faith.
There are two classes for new believers: one on Sunday morning after morn-ing worship service and one on Friday evening at 5.30 p.m. in the downstairs of the multipurpose hall.

The objective of the Ministry is to project the love of God through our love, in meeting not only spiritual, but physical needs. James 2:15-16 tells us that if we empathize with others not having food or clothes, but did not actually provide for that physical need, then empathy would be pointless. Jesus himself said in Matthew 25:35, 44-45 that as much as we help the least among us, we will be doing it unto Him. Looking beyond, we are also concerned about the salvation of souls, into the kingdom of God. Even as we care for each other, we must also care for and impact our environment - our world. It is where we must go to preach the gospel, not necessarily with a Bible, but an attitude of being His Extended Loving Provision, to evangelize, encourage and disciple.
