Our outpost: Church of the Open Bible Mendez

Mendez Open Bible Church is located in Mendez Village, Siparia and exists to bring deliverance from bondage to individuals, families and the community. In so doing people would be free to develop a deep personal and spiritual relationship with God, understanding that salvation comes only through Jesus Christ. Vision Statement: "To be a modern example of the early church".

Minister Sean Joel Kennedy was privileged to be brought up by Christian parents but actually gave his life to Jesus at age nine in a Sunday school class. He frequently testifies of his great development over the years in his walk with Christ. In his early teenage years, however, a bit ashamed of the gospel, confessed to not lifting the banner of Jesus very high, although he had ample opportunity to do so, as Head Prefect during Secondary School life.
At about age sixteen, Minister Sean developed a great determination to spread the gospel so that "the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar and the palmerworm..." would be restored. (Joel 2:25). Minister Sean also has experience working with Inter School Christian Fellowship (ISCF), starting a club at the Miracle Ministries High School, where he worked in 2001.He has also served as a camp counsellor for ISCF.
In 2008, Minister Sean graduated from the Open Bible Institute of Theology (OBIT) and obtained his associate ministers credentials two years later, in 2010. While still at OBIT, in 2007 he was appointed to head a pioneer church in Mendez Village, Siparia, of which he is currently the Pastor . Minister Sean also presently teaches Mathematics at the Siparia East Secondary School.
